Artist: Launa Whitehead Launa Whitehead plays principal flute with the Southwest Symphony Orchestra. She holds a Master of Music degree in flute performance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she studied with Dr. Richard Soule. Previously, Launa studied with Ralph Gochnour of the Utah Symphony Orchestra. She teaches music at Dixie College and also directs the Dixie College Flute Choir. In addition, she is Director of Flute Studies at Southern Utah University. Launa has been a soloist with the Southwest Symphony Orchestra. She was featured in the Temple Square Concert Series and at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah.
