Artist: The Kartchners RaShel Kartchner Ferrin was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She and her husband, Robert, are the parents of five children. RaShel had the opportunity of performing and travelling with the BYU Young Ambassadors while in college. She obtained her bachelor's in Education with an emphasis in music from ASU, and her master's degree in Education from NAU. She taught voice lessons for 17 years, was on the Board of Directors for the Mesa Musical Theatre, is currently Vice President of the Choral Parents Association at Mtn. View High School in Mesa, and is involved in various church and community productions. ShiRey Kartchner Carroll is a native of Mesa, Arizona. She and her husband, Doug, have four children. ShiRey obtained her bachelor's in Education from BYU. While at BYU, she performed and travelled with the BYU Young Ambassadors and the BYU Folk Dancers. She later received her masters degree in Education from NAU and taught in the Mesa School District for several years. She taught dance and preschool for 15 years and has been involved as the director/choreographer for several church and community productions. Randy Kartchner: Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, Randy Kartchner is the oldest of four children. He was exposed to music at an early age, and studied classical piano and violin. By the time he entered junior high school, he was performing in a variety of musical groups, and arranging and composing his own music. As a seasoned producer, composer/songwriter and/or arranger, Randy has many, many projects to his credit in many different genres including Gospel, Pop, Rock, R&B and Orchestral. He did production on a movie single performed by singer/songwriting sensation, Krystal. Randy has also worked with such industry greats as Gladys Knight, Phillip Ingram and Joe Pizzulo, and done production work for projects including members of The Jets. He has also worked in the Christian market with FFH, Michelle Tumes, Spirit Bound and others. The 2003 #1 Christian AC hit for the group FFH, "You Found Me", features some of Randy's arranging work. Randy has also toured as musical director for the Osmond Brothers, keyboardist for Marie Osmond, and played on U.S. National television for the teen star Debbie Gibson, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Clint Holmes, John Snyder, the Lettermen, Ben Vereen, Carol Lawrence, and Connie Stevens. He has done musical arrangements and played in the A-band for the Children's Miracle Network Telethon, and also been the musical director/arranger and keyboardist for benefit concerts featuring Patti Austin, Brenda Russell, Debbie Gibson. Sheryl Lee Ralph, Freda Payne and others. Through television, radio, and cable networks. Randy's compositions for companies such as Network Music and others, are heard all over the world. Programs such as: "Lifestyles Of The Rich and Famous" "Wheel Of Fortune." "Travel Travel," "Wild About Animals." "Danger Zone," "My Classic Car," and "Jerry Baker Gardeninf are a few of the shows that broadcast his music in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico. Netherlands, Portugal, Russia. Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan & the United Kingdom. His music can also be heard on intimate television portrait specials of Celine Dion, Debbie Alien, Diahann Carroll, Holly Hunter, Jaclyn Smith. Judith Light, Marlee Matlin, Oksana Baiul, biographies of Kurt Russell and Steven Spielberg, and also in the HBO movie. "The Clubhouse Detectives". Randy's production and orchestrations can also be heard on several Kenneth Cope CDs including "Greater Than Us All," "My Servant Joseph" and "Women At The Well." As a producer and/or arranger, his credits also include: Janice Kapp Perry. Felicia Sorensen. Sharlene Wells Hawkes. Afterglow, Steven Kapp Perry, Sue Krupa. John Canaan, Especially For Youth projects and others. He also completed an arrangement and orchestration of "Where Can I Turn For Peace" which can be heard on the EFY (2003) CD and video. Randy has also produced and written music for the stage. The recent inspirational musical, "1856" showcases his consummate and sensitive orchestrational skills and features several selections which also credit him for his songwriting. In addition. Randy has released several inspirational projects including a solo piano CD "Peace/an instrumental album of reflective, poignant original compositions and "My Beloved Christ", a beautiful inspirational CD with Vickey Pahnke Taylor. Randy served a mission in Brisbane, Australia and has a BA in Music from Brigham Young University.
